The production from Quinshon Judkins in the Cleveland Browns’ Week 7 matchup against the Tennessee Titans would’ve given fantasy managers the confidence they needed to keep him in their lineups for Week 8.
As the Browns get set to face the Pittsburgh Steelers, the reality of this is that the production Judkins had won’t carry over exactly into the game against the Steelers, and instead he should be considered a bench candidate.
Judkins ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns against the Titans, but the backfield usage is what causes concern. Judkins played 53% of Cleveland’s offensive snaps while Dylan Sampson played 46% of the snaps and saw more backfield routes than Judkins did.
In the first game against Pittsburgh, Judkins produced 21.6 PPR points, but that was after having 17 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown, while also adding six receptions for 43 yards.
This was before Sampson started receiving a larger snap share in the receiving department, so Judkins’ first game against the Steelers shouldn’t be the deciding factor. There is risk involved with Judkins for this matchup, so if there is a more established running back option, that should be the route fantasy managers go with this week.
