Raiders' 90-Man Roster Depth Chart Projection: Las Vegas' new regime puts together their first offseason roster
Candice Ward-Imagn Images

Now that the 2025 NFL Draft is over, the Las Vegas Raiders are preparing to fill out their 90-man roster as well as their depth chart. Before the draft, the Raiders had 64 players on their roster.

They have to figure out how to get from 64 players, using their rookies they drafted and some undrafted free agent rookies, to 90 players without going over. Now, if you count the players on the roster, you may count 91, but that's because they have David Agoha, who is part of the IPP program, which doesn't count towards your 90-man roster.

The Raiders, with their current slew of players, including their rookies they drafted and signed as UDFAs, are over 90 players. So, here is my projection of what their 90-man depth chart would look like when it's all cut down to what it should be:

Raiders' projected 90-man depth chart

Quarterback (5) (Asterisk* denotes rookie, ** denotes UDFA)

Starter: Geno Smith
Backups: Aidan O'Connell, Cam Miller*

Carter Bradley, Hajj-Malik Williams**

Why: The Raiders have a stacked QB room when it comes to the players trying to make that third spot behind O'Connell. I think it will be the dude they drafted. And, if it comes down to Carter Bradley or Williams, I think Williams gets the nod.

Running Back (6)

Starter: Ashton Jeanty*
Backups: Raheem Mostert, Sincere McCormick, Zamir White

Dylan Laube, Chris Collier

Why: This one is pretty straightforward -- the two who played legit snaps for the Raiders last season will be the two backups behind Mostert and Jeanty. The other two will be practice-squad players.

Wide Receivers (12)

Starters: Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, Jack Bech*
Backups: Dont'e Thornton Jr.*, Kristian Wilkerson, Alex Bachman

Tyreik McAllister, Shedrick Jackson, Tommy Mellott*, Kyle Phillips, Jeff Foreman, Zakhari Franklin**

Why: I know a lot of people will want to see former Montana State QB Tommy Mellott make the roster as a WR, but I'm just not sure it will happen. He will, though, be on the practice squad when it's time for one.

Tight End (7)

Starter: Brock Bowers
Backups: Michael Mayer, Ian Thomas

Justin Shorter, Qadir Ismail, Carter Runyon**, Pat Conroy**

Why: The Raiders like what they have at tight end already. Mayer was a second-round pick, and Brock Bowers is the greatest rookie tight end of all time heading into his second season. Ian Thomas has great experience and is a good run-blocking tight end. Everyone else will have to fight for a spot on the PS.

Offensive Line (14)

Starters: Kolton Miller (LT), Jordan Meredith (LG), Jackson Powers-Johnson (C), Dylan Parham (RG), DJ Glaze (RT)
Backups: Charles Grant*, Caleb Rogers*, Thayer Munford, Alex Cappa

Dalton Wagner, Will Putnam, Gottlieb Ayedze, Parker Clements**, Jarrod Hufford**

Why: The Raiders have said that they like their offensive line room how it is. However, I think one of the two rookies drafted, or both, could be starting by the end of the season.

Defensive Line (17)

Starters: Maxx Crosby (DE), Christian Wilkins (DT), Adam Butler (DT), Malcolm Koonce (DE)
Backups: Tyree Wilson, Tonka Hemingway*, JJ Pegues*, Jonah Laulu, Charles Snowden

Ovie Oghoufo, Leki Fotu, Andre Carter II, David Agoha (roster exemption for 90-Man), Matthew Butler, Zach Carter, Jah Joyner**, Trevon Ma’ae**, Anthony Booker Jr**

Why: I think there is a chance that Joyner could make the 53-man roster at the edge position, but he more than likely won't. Booker Jr. is a guy that I would be on the lookout for.

Linebacker (9)

Starters: Elandon Roberts (MLB), Tommy Eichenberg (WLB)
Backups: Amari Gainer, Devin White, Jailin Walker**

Amari Burney, Cody Lindenberg*, Brandon Smith, Matt Jones**

Why: Jailin Walker should have been drafted. He is that good, and he has the traits to be good on coverage, and I think the Raiders coaching staff will see that and put him on the 53-man depth chart as a rotational player, similar to what happened with Gainer last season.

Cornerback (10)

Starters: Jakorian Bennett, Decamerion Richardson, Darnay Holmes (NB)
Backups: Eric Stokes, Darien Porter*, Mello Dotson**

Sam Webb, Kyu Blu Kelly, John Humphrey**, Greedy Vance**

Why: James Madison UDFA Jordan Taylor will be one that I have not making the team, simply because of the experience and competition Greedy Vance and John Humphrey have working for them. As far as the starters, Richardson played a lot last year as a rookie, and his physical attributes are too great to keep him off the field, as well as how good he played in bad situations last season.

Safety (7)

Starters: Jeremy Chinn, Isaiah Pola-Mao
Backups: Lonnie Johnson, Harper Thomas

Trey Taylor, Chris Smith II, Hudson Clark**

Why: The only player and position I think will be up for battle is the position I have Thomas Harper holding down. Trey Taylor, the second-year safety, or Chris Smith, the third-year guy, could fight for the spot.

Special Teams (3)

Starters: AJ Cole (P), Daniel Carlson (K), Jacob Bobenmoyer (LS)

Why: I'm not sure there is anything to say about a group that has been together for so long now.
