Seventy-six days remain until the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 23-25, 2026. After a 3-14 season in 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 1 overall pick as this daily countdown continues through the franchise’s best players by jersey number.
Today, February 6, the number is 76.
Steve Wisniewski is the pick for No. 76 because he was the rare offensive lineman who never came off the field. He gave the Raiders elite play, leadership and week-to-week reliability for more than a decade.
On this date in 1989, a deal on Day One of the NFL Draft sent us Steve Wisniewski from Dallas.

Wisniewski played 206 games for the Raiders and started all 206. That durability is the separator, and it still stands out across franchise history.
Wisniewski was not just available, he was excellent. He earned eight Pro Bowl selections, was a two-time All-Pro and landed on the NFL All-1990s Team.
Meanwhile, his resume is built entirely in Silver and Black. When a player starts 206 straight games for one franchise, the number belongs to him.
Wisniewski was born April 7, 1967, in Rutland, Vt. He played at Westfield High School in Texas before starring at Penn State.
He was drafted in the second round, 29th overall, in 1989. Then he spent his entire NFL career with the Raiders and became one of the franchise’s signature linemen.
Wisniewski set the bar for No. 76 with longevity and high-end recognition. Two hundred six games, 206 starts and years of Pro Bowl football make this an easy call.
Next up tomorrow: No. 75.
