After the Las Vegas Raiders re-signed Darnay Holmes, another cornerback is returning to the Silver and Black for 2025.

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Raiders are re-signing Sam Webb to a contract that will keep in Las Vegas for the upcoming season.

Webb returning to the Raiders is fantastic news, as he continues the team’s push to add secondary depth through free agency.

Webb first was a part of the Raiders since signing as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He spent 2023 with the Carolina Panthers before returning to Las Vegas this past season. Due to injuries decimating the cornerback room, Webb played 11 games for the Raiders in 2024, recording one tackle.

Along with Webb and Holmes remaining in Las Vegas, the Raiders also signed Eric Stokes to bolster the secondary earlier this offseason. New acquisition Lonnie Johnson Jr. can also play cornerback if needed. After struggling with health last season, new general manager John Spytek has clearly placed an emphasis on roster depth.

Webb will be fighting for a roster spot this season, but his past experience might give him a leg up.
