Raiders Release WR Noah Brown

The Ohio State product was a seventh-round pick by the Cowboys in 2017, but he took several years to carve out a role in Dallas. After being limited to 39 receptions through his first five professional seasons (including a lost 2019 campaign), Brown broke out in 2022. He finished that year with 43 catches for 555 yards and three scores.

That performance earned him a contract with the Texans, and he continued producing during his one-year stop in Houston, finishing with 33 catches for 567 yards and two touchdowns. He reunited with former Cowboys coach Dan Quinn in Washington ahead of the 2024 campaign and finished his first year with the Commanders with 35 catches for 453 yards and one score.

He re-signed with the organization last offseason but missed a chunk of the season with a groin injury. He ultimately finished the year with only five receptions.

Brown just joined the Raiders earlier this month, but he’s already been sent packing by his new squad. The Raiders have a relatively uncertain WR depth chart at the moment, with the likes of Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech, Dont’e Thornton, and rookie sixth-round pick Malik Benson projected to lead the way.
