Aaron Donald carved out a legendary career during his 10 seasons with the St. Louis and Los Angeles Rams. He racked up 543 tackles, 111 sacks, 176 tackles for loss, 24 forced fumbles and seven fumble recoveries.
Pairing that with 10 Pro Bowl appearances, eight first-team All-Pro selections and three AP Defensive Player of the Year awards, he's considered one of the greatest players in NFL history.
Donald was also a key piece to the Rams' Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of the 2021 season. The former defensive tackle may have retired following the 2023 season, but his former team is once again chasing a ring.
The Rams are taking on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday in Seattle. It's a high-stakes matchup between the NFC West rivals, with the winner advancing to the Super Bowl.
While Donald won't be able to help on the field, he will be in attendance. On Saturday, the Rams announced that Donald will be serving as an honorary captain.
"Got the G.O.A.T. in attendance," the team wrote via an X post.

However, Donald won't be the only franchise legend in the building. Seattle announced that former safety and four-time Pro Bowler Kam Chancellor will serve as the Seahawks' honorary captain.
The two defenders saw plenty of each other in their playing days. Chancellor's run with the Seahawks spanned 2010 to 2017, while Donald was with the Rams from 2014 to 2023.
Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. ET at Lumen Field, airing on Fox and streaming on the Fox app. ESPN's matchup predictor gives Los Angeles a 45.8% chance of winning.
