The Los Angeles Rams will once again be led by Matthew Stafford at quarterback this season after they were able to restructure his contract.
Behind the veteran is Jimmy Garoppolo, who re-signed with the team on a one-year contract after reaching free agency. Stetson Bennett is also returning for his third season with L.A. despite never seeing the field since being drafted in 2023.
The Rams don’t often carry more than three quarterbacks in the regular season, but they are always looking to improve their depth and seem to have reunited with a familiar face.
According to James Larsen of UFL Newsroom, the Rams have brought back Dresser Winn:
BREAKING: The Los Angeles Rams are set to sign @USFLShowboats QB Dresser Winn, per league source.
Winn, who spent two years with the #Rams already, played in several games this #UFL season in Memphis, starting 3.

Winn originally signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He was waived before the start of the regular season and then had a brief stint in the CFL before rejoining the Rams on their practice squad later that year.
Winn spent this past spring playing for the Memphis Showboats of the UFL. In five games (four starts), he completed 58% of his passes and threw for 834 yards with three touchdowns.
Assuming Stafford sits out the preseason, Winn should be able to get a good amount of playing time at quarterback for the Rams behind Bennett.
If Winn impresses, he could potentially earn a spot on the Rams practice squad or perhaps find an even greater role with another team.
The Los Angeles Rams announced they have waived wide receiver Quintez Cephus.
The Rams originally signed Cephus to their practice squad last September following his release from the Houston Texans. Cephus then signed a reserve/futures deal with Los Angeles but now will not join the team for training camp next month.
The Rams’ receiver depth is solid entering the season as Puka Nacua and Davante Adams are set to lead the way. Tutu Atwell re-signed on a one-year deal and is line to handle No. 3 duties, though head coach Sean McVay may need to find ways to work in players like Jordan Whittington and Konata Mumpfield.
