It was a good season for the Los Angeles Rams, who won the NFC West at 10-7 and made a playoff appearance until eventually losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round.
Now, though, they enter the offseason with some major question marks, like what will happen with the team's longtime wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who is now on the trade block.
However, in an article for The Athletic, Mike Jones predicts that this development won't stop the Rams from signing wide receiver Davante Adams in free agency and pairing him with quarterback Matthew Stafford.
"With the Rams working to trade Cooper Kupp, Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford will need another target to pair with Puka Nacua," he wrote. "Adams is now available after the Jets released him on Tuesday. The six-time Pro Bowl wideout still has plenty left in the tank, and McVay boasts the creativity needed to maximize Adams’ skill set."
Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-Team All-Pro is coming off a relatively solid season, accumulating 85 receptions, 1,063 yards, and eight touchdowns between his time with the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets.
He could be a huge factor in helping improve the Rams' offense, which in 2024 was mediocre, ranking 15th in total yards per game (331.4) and 20th in points per game (21.6).
It wouldn't necessarily be a move that breaks the bank either for the Rams, as Spotrac currently places Adams' market value at $13.6 million annually.
