Ram's Puka Nacua hit with frustrating contract extension news

The Los Angeles Rams have one of the most dangerous weapons in the National Football League.

Puka Nacua is a true superstar and is only getting started, and 99/100 times, he would've gotten a new deal by now.

However, Nacua has had off-the-field issues, including a civil lawsuit that accuses him of biting a woman and making an antisemitic remark.

That's why, even after checking himself into rehab, and even though his off-the-field issues never interfered with his production, the team might still want to see more from him before putting pen to paper.

In a recent appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," ESPN insider Adam Schefter revealed that there's no timetable for his contract extension.

“He’s one of the single very best players in the National Football League. And at some point in time, the Rams absolutely are going to want to re-sign him,” said Schefter. “Now, does that mean that that deal gets done when camp opens? It doesn’t sound that way. Is that a deal that they’re going to work on through the summer? Very possibly. Is that the kind of deal that I can see coming into focus right before the season? That’s possible, too. Any of these are all on the table.”
