The Los Angeles Rams have had several players ranked highly this offseason, but on Wednesday, the organization landed an even bigger honor: the NFL's second-most valuable franchise.

Heading into the 2026 regular season, the Rams checked in at $12.7 billion, trailing only the Dallas Cowboys, who led the list for the seventh consecutive season. The New York Giants, New England Patriots and New York Jets rounded out the top five. The average NFL franchise is now worth roughly $9.3 billion.

For the Rams, the ranking doesn't stem from fielding the most talented roster in football; it comes from what happens off the field. Playing in Los Angeles, the biggest media market in the country outside New York, only boosts the Rams' brand.

That drives fans to fill seats every Sunday and pushes companies to pay big money for the right to call themselves the Rams' official partner, whether through team apparel, advertising or stadium rights.

SoFi Stadium isn't just the Rams' home on game days. It's become a go-to venue for superstar acts drawing fans from around the world. Upcoming shows from BTS, Bruno Mars and Jay-Z have sold out. SoFi takes a cut of the profits from suite and ticket sales, parking and concessions every time.

That's before factoring in what SoFi pulled off last year, according to Sportico.

"The Rams' SoFi Stadium set a live concert record in 2025, boasting 33 non-NFL events including five nights of Beyonce, plus Kendrick Lamar, Shakira, The Weeknd and Chris Stapleton.”

Winning on the field does add to the brand, though. The Rams enter the season as the betting favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl, led by reigning MVP quarterback Matthew Stafford and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. The Rams' home opener is Week 2 against the New York Giants, a Monday Night Football matchup that should pack SoFi Stadium.
