The Los Angeles Rams are finally starting to get healthy.

The Rams anticipate wide receiver Cooper Kupp returning for Thursday’s Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings, coach Sean McVay said Sunday. Kupp has not played since Week 2 due to a sprained ankle.

Kupp appeared close to playing Sunday against the Raiders, as he carried a questionable tag, but the team opted to hold him out for another week. McVay’s confidence suggests Kupp is very close to fully healed, and there should be little doubt about his status going forward.

Kupp has struggled to stay fully healthy since his outstanding 2021 season. He caught 14 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in a Week 1 loss to Detroit, then got hurt in Week 2. He and the Rams will be hoping this latest injury is fully behind him.

The Rams are just 2-4, but they are starting to get healthy and nobody is running away with the NFC West. If they get hot, they still have a chance to make something of their season.
