Ranking Every Minnesota Vikings Player: Veterans in the trenches dominate Nos. 75-71 with an intriguing pass catcher

The Minnesota Vikings are now seven days away from the entire roster having reported for training camp. It's getting exciting as the Vikings are set to try and improve on their 14 win season in 2024 with J.J. McCarthy taking over as the starting quarterback.

As we continue our countdown of the Vikings players, the latest grouping begins to see some vested veterans for the first time, including four in the trenches.

75. DL Travis Bell

Bell has been in the league for two years after being a seventh round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2023, but didn't stick around long. He was eventually signed by the Atlanta Falcons and played in two games. Bell needs to really take a step forward in training camp if he wants to make the roster.

74. DL Jonathan Harris

Harris has been in the National Football League since 2019, when he entered as an undrafted free agent. He's played in 40 games during his career with three teams. Despite having played in a significant amount of games, Harris hasn't shown that he can be counted on for long stretches at a high level, and don't expect that to begin in 2025.

73. OT Marcellus Johnson

Offensive tackle depth is going to be really interesting to parse out, especially with what the Vikings choose to do with Walter Rouse. Johnson spent time with the Vikings practice squad twice in 2024 while also spending time with the New York Giants. Johnson has the size to thrive at tackle, but he faces an uphill battle to earn one a roster spot.

72. OL Henry Byrd

Byrd has hung around the Vikings' orbit over the last two seasons. He was on the practice squad beginning in December of 2023 and was on it last season as well. With experience at both tackle and guard, his versatility and experience will provide some opportunities to win the last offensive lineman job on the roster.

71. TE Bryson Nesbit

The tight end position is a very interesting one going into the season. Nesbit is a move tight end that was a key weapon over the last few seasons. The one big concern for Nesbit is going to be with his blocking and power profile. Can he show enough in that area to prove that he's worth developing? It's a major question mark, and why he ranks this low.
