Rapoport: Teams Interested in Trading for Bradley Chubb
NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, along with Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, is reporting that one player who is getting a lot of interest right now in the trade market is Miami Dolphins EDGE rusher Bradley Chubb.
Rapoport says: “Among the edge players who have garnered interest are the Titans’ Arden Key, the Dolphins’ Bradley Chubb and the Packers’ Kingsley Enagbare.”
Rapoport went on to say that the San Francisco 49ers are “in the hunt” for EDGE rushers’ help. And the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles are looking for help on defense, with Philly focusing on EDGE rushers and Cornerbacks.
In 2023, Miami traded a future 1st, 4th, and Chase Edmonds to Denver for Chubb and a 5th-round pick.
In 24 games with the Dolphins, Chubb has 13.5 sacks and 86 tackles. For his career, Chubb has 39.5 sacks in 73 games.
Chubb is having a great start to the 2025 season, with four sacks through 5 games, and he has been Miami’s best pass rusher this season.
Chubb turned 29 years old this past June.
The Dolphins, off to a slow start this season, are expected to have a mini fire-sale before the trade deadline as they will look to ship off older, veteran players, with bad contracts who won’t be here next season, to acquire draft capital as they get ready to embark on another rebuild.
Chubb fits this category.
Given Chubb’s age, injury history, and the fact that his contract balloons next season, making him a “rental” who would likely be cut by any trading team, the Dolphins should expect to receive a 6th or 7th round draft pick in return.
Other Dolphins players who may be on the trade block are Jaelan Phillips, Matt Judon, and Jaylen Wright.
