The mother of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice can now let out a big sigh of relief. On Monday, TMZ Sports reported that the theft case against Rice's mom, Marsha Kearney, had been dropped by prosecutors in Tarrant County, Texas. The decision to let Kearney off the hook was made "after she fulfilled several conditions."

Among the requirements she fulfilled were the completion of a theft intervention program and community service for a total of 24 hours. In addition, Kearney also reportedly shelled out $125 in restitution.

It can be recalled that Kearney was arrested last October after she was allegedly caught by a doorbell camera stealing a package from her neighbor's doorstep in September.

Kearney, who was wearing a "Momma Rice" Kansas City Chiefs jersey in the video, was allegedly seen taking the package that was said to contain Chapell Roan records on Sep. 29.

As for Rice, who signed a four-year $6.49 million contract with the Chiefs in 2023, his second season with the Kansas City was cut short by a knee injury that forced him to miss the rest of the 2024 NFL campaign.

In four games this season, the former SMU Mustangs star had 288 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 24 receptions for the two-time defending Super Bowl champs.
