Ravens Getting Trade Interest In Derrick Henry

According to Jason La Canfora, the Ravens are getting inquiries on RB Derrick Henry ahead of the upcoming trade deadline.

One GM tells La Canfora he thinks the Ravens “could definitely get something” for the veteran back. At 4-4 with both Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley done for the year, La Canfora thinks it could be time to move on from Henry with him set to be a free agent after the year at 32-years-old.

Multiple execs told La Canfora they think Henry could return a third-round pick value back in a trade, but the industry believes Ravens GM Eric DeCosta will be too stubborn to sell at the deadline.

However, with the inevitable shift to a younger roster bound to come in Baltimore, they could use additional draft capital after sending a 2028 second to acquire C Cam Jurgens.

Henry, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2016 out of Alabama. He finished the final year of his four-year, $5.407 million rookie contract and was set to be an unrestricted free agent when the Titans franchised him.

In July 2020, Henry signed a four-year, $50 million contract with the Titans that included $25.5 million in guaranteed money.  He finished the final year of that deal and made a base salary of $10.5 million before hitting the free agent market in 2024.

Baltimore signed him to a two-year, $16 million deal. He was set to earn a base salary of $6 million when the Ravens handed him a two-year, $30 million extension ahead of the 2025 season.

In 2026, Henry has appeared in eight games for the Ravens and rushed 158 times for 632 yards (4.0 YPC) and eight touchdowns. He’s also caught 12 passes for 75 yards and a touchdown.

We’ll have more on Henry and the Ravens as the news becomes available.
