Ravens HC John Harbaugh: Lamar Jackson has 'a chance' to play vs. Rams

The Baltimore Ravens have lost four straight games to fall to 8-7 and out of the AFC playoff spots with two contests remaining and are preparing to face the 11-4 Los Angeles Rams as star quarterback Lamar Jackson attempts to return from the sprained right ankle that kept him out of the past two matchups.

Jackson was limited in practice Wednesday but sat out the following two days, leading some to assume backup Tyler Huntley will get the nod versus the Rams now that he's off the reserve/COVID-19 list. According to Myles Simmons of Pro Football Talk, however, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh wasn't yet willing to rule the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player out when speaking with reporters Friday.

"I think he’s got a chance to play on Sunday. We’ll have to see," Harbaugh said of Jackson. "This time of year, you’ve got guys with different things. He has what he has, some other guys have their dings and things like that. It’s all hands on deck. The guys who are ready to play and can play, will. The guys who aren’t and can’t, won’t."

Huntley's COVID-19 setback kept him from playing in last Sunday's defeat at the Cincinnati Bengals. He started versus the Green Bay Packers on Dec. 19 and completed 28-of-40 pass attempts for 215 yards and two touchdowns with 73 rushing yards and two additional scores on 13 carries in a 31-30 loss.

Journeyman Josh Johnson, who started against the Bengals, will be Huntley's backup if Jackson can't play.
