The Baltimore Ravens were able to limit Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco to 199 yards, one touchdown and one interception without starting cornerback Jaire Alexander during their 41-17 victory on Sunday.
The Ravens made Alexander inactive against the Browns even though he had no game designation for injury. He's been dealing with knee issues since training camp, and Baltimore wanted to give him a week to get healthy.
On Monday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was asked during his news conference when he thought the All-Pro would return. Harbaugh wouldn't specify when Alexander could return, but thinks he'll be on the field soon.
"I wish it was really black and white, but I think he'll be out there soon," Harbaugh said. "You know, it could be as early as this week, but it's going to be when he feels, and you can see that, that you know that, that he's right, to go out there and just play like a top-level Jaire."

A healthy secondary would be ideal for the Ravens, as they're set to host a Detroit Lions offense that shredded the Chicago Bears in Week 2. Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw for 334 yards and five touchdowns in a 52-21 win over the Bears, who were missing cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson (for most of the game) and Kyler Gordon.
Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown scored three touchdown receptions. He and Jameson Williams finished with 100+ yards receiving.
Harbaugh doesn't want to rush Alexander back until he's ready to play at a high level, as he believes the Ravens have plenty of quality depth at cornerback.
"That's just kind of, like, almost a great problem to have that you don't have to force a player out there, you know, when he's kind of, you know, has a tough injury," Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh plans to make a joint decision with Alexander this week on whether he can play against the Lions.
