Ravens' Lamar Jackson still won't say if he's vaccinated against COVID-19

The Baltimore Ravens, thought to be contenders to compete for the AFC North crown, had an absolutely brutal Thursday practice session, as it is feared that starting running back Gus Edwards and two-time First-Team All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters suffered season-ending torn ACLs after running backs J.K. Dobbins and Justice Hill were already out for the upcoming campaign because of injuries.

Before Baltimore's latest crisis, quarterback and 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson once again declined to answer if he's been vaccinated against COVID-19.

"I want to keep that between me and my family and the doctors. That’s all," Jackson answered, per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.

Jackson reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 this summer for the second time in less than a full year, and he told reporters last December he "wouldn’t wish that on anybody, though" when speaking about his prior experience with the virus.

Unvaccinated players who test positive for the coronavirus must isolate for a minimum of 10 days and can be subject to five-day quarantine periods if they are deemed high-risk close contacts of an infected person. Fully vaccinated players don't have to follow such close-contact rules and can return after testing positive if they deliver two negative virus tests 24 hours apart and are asymptomatic.

On Wednesday, NFL chief medical officer Dr. Allen Sills told ESPN that 93.5% of players had received at least one vaccine shot as of that time.
