Ravens QB Lamar Jackson expected to be game-time decision vs. Packers due to ankle injury

There continue to be hints that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will not be able to participate in Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers because of the sprained right ankle he suffered in the Week 14 loss at the Cleveland Browns.

Head coach John Harbaugh has gone from "planning" for Jackson to play against Green Bay to saying the 2019 NFL Most Valuable Player was "day-to-day" after he didn't practice Wednesday. Ravens offensive coordinator Greg Roman couldn't offer any guarantees about his QB1 when speaking with reporters on Thursday.

"That's a hard one, I think it could go down to the wire," Roman said of Jackson, per the NFL's website.

"He's getting treatment around the clock. "He's a good healer but we'll just have to see what the doctors say."

Backup Tyler Huntley seems on track to start, and the Ravens signed veteran Josh Johnson off the practice squad of the New York Jets on Wednesday to serve as Huntley's backup in the event that Jackson can't play in at least one game. Huntley filled in for Jackson against Cleveland and completed 27-of-38 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown.

Following two consecutive defeats, the 8-5 Ravens hold only one-game leads in the division standings over the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals heading into the weekend.
