Ravens QB Lamar Jackson: I wouldn't wish COVID-19 on anyone

The Baltimore Ravens' COVID-19 outbreak is under control, for now, but Lamar Jackson took the opportunity to open up about his battle with the virus following his team's 34-17 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday night. 

Tuesday was Jackson's first game back from a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. The former MVP admitted he experienced flu-like symptoms and still hasn't fully regained his sense of taste or smell.

“I’m good now,” Jackson said, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “I wouldn’t wish that on anybody, though. It’s not good to have.”

Jackson completed 12-of-17 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns against one interception on Tuesday. He also had 13 carries for 94 yards and a score. 

With a win against the Cowboys, Baltimore moved to 7-5 on the season, which currently is good enough for the ninth seed in the AFC. The Ravens have a big matchup with the 9-3 Cleveland Browns on "Monday Night Football" coming up, and they'll have to secure a win if they have any hopes of making the postseason in a tight AFC.

Baltimore's COVID-19 outbreak saw over 20 players placed on the reserve/COVID list, including running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins, tight end Mark Andrews, defensive end Calais Campbell and linebacker Matthew Judon.
