The Baltimore Ravens are set to start third-string quarterback Joe Fagnano on Thursday Night Football against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Fagnano will start, although he is dealing with an ankle injury. Rapoport then said the Ravens are “looking around” at other veteran QB options during a segment on SportsCenter.
Ravens star QB Lamar Jackson is headed to Injured Reserve after suffering a thumb injury on the first play against the Buffalo Bills. There is also a chance that Jackson’s injury is season-ending.
To make things worse, backup Tyler Huntley suffered a turf toe injury that could also send him to IR.
Minter acknowledged that Tyler Huntley is an IR candidate. He said they’ll know more about when Lamar Jackson will have thumb surgery within the next couple of days.

Fagnano then finished the game, going 10-of-21 for 91 yards with an interception in the Ravens’ 36-10 loss to the Bills.
Fagnano played college football at UConn and went undrafted. The Ravens signed Kedon Slovis to their 53-man roster, and Slovis had been on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad, according to Tom Pelissero of The Ringer.
Fagnano also suffered an ankle injury, but for now, he is expected to start on Thursday night, and the Ravens will almost certainly add another signal-caller at some point before the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
