Ravens sign veteran CB Tramon Williams

The Baltimore Ravens announced on Tuesday that they've signed veteran cornerback Tramon Williams.

Williams will replace Khalil Dorsey, who went on injured reserve due to a dislocated shoulder. As Jamison Hensley of ESPN explained, four Baltimore CBs have gone on IR this season.

Baltimore improved to 6-2 overall with a 24-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Williams, who made the Pro Bowl back in 2010, hasn't played this season, but he spent time at CB and safety during a second stint with the Green Bay Packers that ended after the 2019 campaign. The 37-year-old, who has 34 career interceptions, has also played for the Cleveland Browns and Arizona Cardinals.

The Ravens added that Marlon Humphrey is expected to be in the lineup for the upcoming "Sunday Night Football" showdown with the New England Patriots. Humphrey missed the Indianapolis game while on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Dorsey will miss at least the next three games, but it's hoped that both he and Anthony Averett (shoulder) could return later this year. Tavon Young and Iman Marshall are out for the season due to knee injuries.

In other roster moves, Baltimore signed defensive back Nate Brooks and offensive tackle R.J. Prince to its practice squad.
