In the Philadelphia Eagles’ 24-19 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, running back Saquon Barkley delivered yet another standout performance, showcasing the dominance that has defined his 2024 season.
Barkley rushed for 107 yards on 23 carries, including a game-sealing 25-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. His ability to rise to the occasion has been pivotal in the Eagles’ success this season, pushing them to a 10-2 record.
Barkley’s late-game heroics left a mark not only on the scoreboard but also on Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
On his podcast “Punch Line”, Humphrey revealed an exchange with Barkley before the decisive touchdown that left a playful but competitive impression.

“He dapped me up and said, ‘Don’t use your track speed when I break this run,’” Humphrey recalled. Moments later, Barkley broke through the defense, sprinting past the Ravens’ secondary for a touchdown that gave the Eagles a 21-12 lead with 7:56 remaining in the game.
Humphrey admitted Barkley’s confidence left him momentarily stunned.
“And then he broke a run and was running kind of fast, and I was like, dang, cuz is arrogant," Humphrey joked, reflecting on the exchange. "I don’t like that."
Despite the lighthearted jab, the moment seemed to come from mutual respect.
The Ravens had their chances to pull ahead in the game, but crucial missed opportunities—two failed field goals and an extra point from Justin Tucker—sealed their fate.
Barkley’s performance, along with Jalen Hurts’ two total touchdowns, carried the Eagles past an 8-5 Ravens squad fighting to stay competitive in the AFC.
As Barkley continues his MVP-caliber season with 1,499 rushing yards and 15 total touchdowns, moments like these underline his blend of skill and confidence—a combination that keeps defenses guessing and fans entertained.
