OK, Baltimore Ravens fans, it's that time of year again... Ravens Official Training Camp is coming ... and on top of that a joint practice with the down the street Washington Commanders ... and a more scary than ever Lamar Jackson?

The first two aforementioned items are facts.

The third one is a projection ... and. major storyline as the schedule for the summer has been released on the Baltimore Ravens' website.

So here's the plan ...

Rookies will arrive on the 15th of July, and returning players will show up a week, after, on the 22nd of July.

Now, earlier we stated that there will be a joint practice with the Commanders ... Well, were going to be treated to another with the Indianapolis Colts on Aug. 5, while the one with Washington will be on the 21st of August.

The Ravens have not played many of their starters in the preseason in recent years, of course, meaning the joint practices will be the best opportunity for starters to get tuned up against another team before Baltimore's regular-season opener against the Buffalo Bills on Sept. 7.

And that means a good look at MVP candidate Jackson, the gifted QB who has reportedly remade his frame and has slimmed down a bit.

A more elusive Jackson? Hard to imagine. Hard to stop.

Also worth watching: An entertaining 53-man team roster competition at the kicker position, where young talents Tyler Loop and John Hoyland will both doing their best to get Justin Tucker's old position.

With all the joint practices and fights for positions - not to mention actual fights - we're ready for real football to begin.
