The Philadelphia Eagles (8-2) are coming off a tightly contested 16-9 Week 11 win over the Detroit Lions and will look to extend their win streak to five this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys (4-5-1).

While he didn't have any heroic plays like his game-sealing forced fumble the week prior against the Green Bay Packers, safety Reed Blankenship had himself a productive outing this past Sunday. He was tied for the third-most tackles on the team with four, as the fourth-year safety is in his first season as a captain for the team after going undrafted in 2022. While Blankenship is hoping to help lead the Eagles to another Super Bowl title, he is also likely looking to play his way into a contract extension.

Blankenship signed a one-year deal worth over $3.5 million for this season, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him want to lock up a long-term deal to stay with the team that he has played for his entire career. It also wouldn't be shocking for him to want a new contract simply due to the fact that he and his wife announced that they are expecting.

"Hey @reedblankenship, remember when we said this year couldn’t get any better," read the mutually shared post on Instagram. "Baby Blankenship coming soon…."

Blankenship and his wife Elsa tied the knot in July.

As for the Eagles, their game against the Cowboys will kick at 4:25 p.m. ET on Fox. The two teams played to open the season, and the Eagles escaped with a 24-20 victory.
