The Chicago Bears have the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and they may be concerned that a specific player they are hoping to add will not be available at that spot.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported on Thursday afternoon that the Bears have been making calls to teams in an attempt to move up in the first round. The player who Chicago general manager Ryan Poles reportedly has his eye on is former Boise State star running back Ashton Jeanty.
The Bears are among teams making calls in an attempt to trade up, per sources.

Jeanty has been linked to the Bears for quite some time, but his stock seems to be on the rise. One report earlier in the week claimed teams might even be looking to trade up as high as No. 2 or No. 3 overall for Jeanty.
You can understand why the Bears would be excited about the prospect of adding Jeanty to a Ben Johnson-led offense. Jeanty rushed for an otherworldly 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns with Boise State last season.
Saquon Barkley proved by leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl win last year that the running back position can still be incredibly valuable in the NFL. That may work in Jeanty's favor in the draft, and perhaps the Bears know it.
