Report: Head coach Adam Gase won't be fired if Jets lose to Broncos

Despite the New York Jets looking like the worst excuse for an NFL team in recent memory, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport says that head coach Adam Gase is not in danger of losing his job if the Jets lose to the Denver Broncos in tonight's game.

It's hard to overstate how poorly the Jets have played their first three games of the season, as they have been thoroughly dominated in every aspect of their demoralizing losses. Most recently, the Jets were annihilated by the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, losing 36-7 while Sam Darnold threw two brutal pick-sixes that kept New York from even being competitive.

After that loss, rumors began to surface that the Thursday night game against Denver was "make or break" for Gase, as there were reports that he has "lost the locker room" and the team might be ready to move on. But it appears that is not the case, and even if the Jets fall to 0-4, Gase will still be leading the team.

When asked about the rumors of his possible firing, Gase insisted he was just focused on winning games.

"I’m going to do what I always do: Come back to work tomorrow and try to get things fixed," Gase said. "I mean, that’s something I can’t worry about. I got to focus on getting our guys right."

If there was ever an opponent to "get things fixed" against, it is the Broncos, who have been decimated by injuries and have also not won a game this season.
