Jayden Reed will still be the top receiver for the Green Bay Packers, according to a tweet put out by sports writer, Adam Schefter. According to Schefter, Brian Guteksunst, the general manager of the Green Bay Packers met with Drew Rosenhaus, the agent of Jayden Reed, to discuss his position after the team brought in two new wide receivers, Matthew Golden and Savion Williams in the recent draft.

Despite the team investing in Golden and Williams, Rosenhaus was assured that Reed’s position as top receiver will not be affected. Jayden Reed has been playing for the Green Bay Packers since 2023 after being selected as the 50th pick in the second round of the NFL draft. Before the league, Reed played college football for the Western Michigan Broncos and the Michigan State Spartans.

“Packers GM Brian Guteksunst met last week with Jayden Reed’s agent Drew Rosenhaus to clarify the wide receiver’s status in Green Bay after the team drafted Matthew Golden and Savion Williams. The team said it will not affect Reed’s status as its top receiver, per source.” Adam Schefter tweeted through his X account.

Apart from Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, the Packers also drafted Anthony Belton from North Carolina State in the second round, Barryn Sorrell from Texas in the fourth round, Collin Oliver from Oklahoma State in the fifth found, Warren Brinson from Georgia in the sixth round, Micah Robinson from Tulane in the seventh round and John Williams from Cincinnati in the final round.

Jayden Reed And Packers To Meet Lions In Season Opener

On another note, Jayden Reed and the rest of the Green Bay Packers will be gearing up to take on the Detroit Lions in the opening game of their season. Before this matchup, the Packers will be getting ready with three pre-season games against the New York Jets, the Indianapolis Colts and the Seattle Seahawks.

The Packers will be hoping that the upcoming NFL season goes better for them than the previous football season. In the 2024 NFL season, the Packers finished third in the NFC North after winning 11 games and losing six. The Packers played their final game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, losing badly with a 22-10 final score.

The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl matchup to meet the Kansas City Chiefs, where they emerged as winners. After the game against the Detroit Lions, the Packers will be taking on the Washington Commanders for their next matchup.
