The Washington Football Team released second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins on Monday. It appears he already has some suitors despite questions surrounding his level of maturity after violating COVID-19 protocols twice this season.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Carolina Panthers are among several teams who have expressed interest in Haskins, who parted ways with his agent, David Mulugheta, on Wednesday.
While free agent QB Dwayne Haskins is unlikely to sign before the season, he is receiving interest from several teams, source said. One of those is the Carolina Panthers, but there are others intrigued by Haskins.

The Panthers have Teddy Bridgewater under contract for at least one more season, and he'll likely remain the franchise's starter. However, Haskins could provide higher long-term upside with the Panthers' backups currently being P.J. Walker and Will Grier.
Carolina's win over Washington on Sunday pushed it lower down the draft board. Many prized quarterbacks will likely be gone by the time the Panthers are on the clock, meaning Haskins could be one of the team's best options this offseason.
