Report: Terry McLaurin's Salary Demand Has Been Revealed

With the start of Commanders training camp just a week away, the team appears to have a massive contract dispute that could linger all the way to the 11th hour.

Despite consistently being one of the league's most productive receivers, two-time Pro Bowler Terry McLaurin still doesn't have the new deal he's been seeking and it sounds like the price has only gone up.

On Tuesday's "The Insiders," NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport shared what he's been hearing about McLaurin's contract status and the kind of money the veteran wideout is looking for.

"My understanding is he wants to be in the 30s and judging by his stats 30s makes sense," Rapoport said. "The fact that Garrett Wilson on his first big deal got more than $32 million per year based on new money you'd think that would be good news for McLaurin."

"We also know that he is pretty serious," the insider added. "He was not there at mandatory minicamp, he spoke today to many, many local reporters ... he is obviously not happy."

"The Commanders want to get this done but these receiver deals are getting to a point where they are so massive teams have to make absolutely sure they want to lock that guy up."

McLaurin opened up about his dissatisfaction with the lack of progress he and the organization have made over the past few months. Telling JP Finlay of NBC Sports:

"I've been pretty frustrated, I'm not going to lie. Everything that has transpired up to this point has been disappointing and frustrating. I want to continue my career here. I've created my life here. My wife and I bought our first home here. So this has been somewhere I've always wanted to be. Just to see how things have played out has been disappointing."

"Obviously, I understand everything's a business," the seven-year veteran continued. "But at the same time, I want to put myself in a position where I'm valued, I feel appreciated and things like that. ... I thought things would be more progressed than they have. So at this point, it's kind of up in the air."
