When Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook was ruled out of the team's Week 13 game against the Detroit Lions, it was widely reported that he was expected to miss Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers as well. The two-time Pro Bowler returned to practice this week, though, and he has been listed as questionable for the Vikings "Thursday Night Football" battle.
Now, it appears that Cook could very well suit up for the prime-time game.
#Vikings RB Dalvin Cook is now trending towards playing tonight against the #Steelers just 11 days after dislocating his left shoulder, per sources. He’s officially listed as questionable but has gotten first-team reps in practice and wants to give it a go.

Cook suffered a shoulder injury during Minnesota's Week 12 game against the San Francisco 49ers, leading the way for backup Alexander Mattison to get the start vs. the Lions. Mattison finished the day with 22 carries for 90 rushing yards and one touchdown, but the Vikings lost 29-27, as Detroit quarterback Jared Goff hit Amon-Ra St. Brown with an 11-yard touchdown pass as time expired in the fourth quarter.
With the loss, Minnesota fell to 5-7 on the year, while Detroit moved to 1-10-1.
