Report: Von Miller, Rams have mutual interest in reunion

It's understandable as to why the Rams would want to bring Von Miller back for the 2022 season. The veteran pass rusher was a significant contributor during the team's Super Bowl run after being acquired midseason from the Denver Broncos. And according to one report, Miller is listening.

"My understanding is there is mutual interest in him being back in LA," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said. "It's going to be hard, but I have no doubt the Rams are going to do everything they possibly can to bring him back."

Miller joined the Rams on November 1st of this past season after being traded from the Broncos in exchange for a second and third round pick in this year's upcoming draft. At the time of the deal, he was the longest tenured Bronco on the roster and the only non-special teams holdover from the team that won Super Bowl 50, a game in which he was named Super Bowl MVP.

He appeared and started in eight games for Los Angeles after the trade. Miller logged 31 tackles -- including 12 tackles for loss -- and five sacks over that stretch.

In the playoffs, Miller was a key force for the Rams both on the field and in the locker room. He logged 14 tackles over four games, racking up six tackles for loss and four sacks. He saved his best for last though, logging two sacks in Los Angeles' 23-20 win over Cincinnati in Super Bowl LVI.

The Rams and the Broncos are the only teams Miller has known during his illustrious career. The Texas A&M alum was selected second overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2011 Draft, going on to play 10-plus seasons for the team.

NFL free agency is set to officially begin March 16 at 4 pm ET, though negotiations can begin March 14 at 12 pm ET.
