Reporter highlights Terry McLaurin's case to get paid

The Washington Commanders and Terry McLaurin have yet to reach an agreement on a contract extension, leading the star wide receiver to request a trade.

He's reportedly looking to get around $30 million a year, and as shown by Dianna Russini on X,  he's done more than enough merits to earn that type of money.

McLaurin entered the league in 2019. He's caught passes from a long list of quarterbacks, most of whom weren't particularly big names.

He's played wit Dwayne Haskins, Case Keenum, Colt McCoy, Alex Smith, Kyle Allen, Taylor Heinicke, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Garrett Gilbert, Sam Howell, Jacoby Brissett and Jayden Daniels, and his production has been virtually the same.

He's also coming off arguably the best season of his career, hauling in 82 receptions for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns, per Football Reference, showcasing strong chemistry with the franchise's new star quarterback.

Against all odds, the Commanders made it all the way to the NFC Championship Game in Daniels' rookie season.

Daniels won't be on a bargain contract for much longer, so this team needs to make the most of his rookie deal and their Super Bowl window.

If that means paying slightly more than they want to keep his best weapon in town, so be it.
