Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs spoke with the media on Friday and finally addressed his suspension from the team.
Doubs had been suspended for one game due to what the team said was detrimental conduct. Doubs missed practice last week and did not give the team any notice about it. A report suggested that Doubs was unhappy with his role on the team, but he says that’s not the case. Rather, Doubs indicated he is going through some personal issues and wished he had handled things better.
“I had some things going on mentally,” Doubs told reporters from in front of his locker on Friday.

Doubs declined to get into why he wasn’t at practice. He made clear that the matter is not about his role.
“It’s a great offense here. … It’s much bigger than me individually finding my role. In this league, it’s just winning football games,” Doubs said.
Romeo Doubs would not go into detail on why he skipped practice, but said wanting more targets was not a reason.

"I'd say there was some things going on off the field," he continued. "As far as just the organization and the (coaching) staff, the players, there's nothing going on within that area. So I just want to make myself clear there."
The Packers beat the Rams in Week 5 without Doubs to improve to 3-2. Doubs has 12 catches for 169 yards on 20 targets this season.
