Russell Wilson made sure to express his appreciation to Jalen Hurts, who showed the Pittsburgh Steelers star plenty of love following the Philadelphia Eagles' 27-13 win on Sunday.
For those who missed it, Hurts shared a postgame handshake with Wilson after the Eagles-Steelers Week 15 showdown. While they were showing their respect for each other at midfield, Hurts told Wilson that he was an inspiration to him growing up.
"Watched you my whole childhood," Hurts said. "You paved the way."
The NFL also shared a video of the moment, which quickly drew the attention of fans.
Interestingly, Wilson himself saw the video as well and commented on it with a response to Hurts.
"Respect Young King," the Steelers signal-caller wrote in the comments section while tagging his Eagles counterpart.
It's certainly great to see the two quarterbacks show their support and admiration for each other even after a tough battle.
While they were competitors on the field, they made it clear that they are brothers who share the same passion for the sport.
Wilson finished Sunday's game with 128 yards and a touchdown on 14-of-22 pass completion. Hurts, for his part, shined bright with 290 yards and a touchdown on 25-of-32 pass completion.
Hurts also had one touchdown on the ground after rushing 15 times for 45 yards.
Wilson and the Steelers return to action in Week 16 against the Baltimore Ravens, while Hurts and the Eagles take on the Washington Commanders next.
