Ryan Clark Blasted by Marcellus Wiley Over Robert Griffin III Comments
USA Today

Controversy broke out in the world of sports commentating on Tuesday as former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III and former NFL safety Ryan Clark got into a war of words on X over comments Clark made about Griffin III's wife Grete.

Griffin III stated that the former Pittsburgh Steelers safety claimed that he "doesn't understand the struggles of Black women because (he is) married to a white woman" on his X account Tuesday.

"That's wrong and way out of bounds," Griffin III added.

Former NFL All-Pro Marcellus Wiley joined the fracas on X as he fired back at Clark in a post viewed nearly a million times as of Tuesday afternoon on his non-verified X account.

"The Apocalypse is upon us...@Realrclark25 has a child with a white woman and has the audacity to question the blackness of @RGIII," Wiley said, "who is married to a white woman all over a damn foul. Talking about Wives...Now, that's FOUL!"

A video clip of Clark's comments on Griffin's home life with his wife was shared on X during which Clark stated that the former NFL quarterback doesn't have the types of conversations necessary at home to understand what Angel Reese goes through as a young black athlete.

"I miss Stuart Scott!!" one fan said under Wiley's post. "These guys today are nothing but women gossiping in a hair salon.

"Bring back masculine men to talk sports," they said

"Did people not think he would bring this fact up? Definition of a hypocrite," another fan added about Clark, who has been under fire lately by numerous media personalities.
