Kubiak will join head coach Dennis Allen's staff. First, his 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Kubiak has been coaching in the NFL since 2013. He is in his first season with the 49ers, having joined Kyle Shanahan's staff following a stint as the Denver Broncos' offensive passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach. It was his second stint in Denver, previously serving as an offensive assistant from 2016 to 2018.
Kubiak also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings (2013-14, 2019-21) and worked at Texas A&M (2010-12) and Kansas (2015) at the collegiate level.
