The New Orleans Saints continue to make major decisions regarding their salary cap space. Tough choices will have to be made, and they finalized one on Thursday evening.

The move will save just over $1 million if they do it now. The move that makes more sense is designating him as a June 1st cut. Doing that would save the Saints $7.2 million in cap space.
Maye played just two years in New Orleans.
One of those seasons was riddled with injuries. Overall, he played just 17 total games with the Saints. The signing did not really work out for the team, but they move on sooner rather than later. That's a positive for the Saints.
Now, safety becomes a bigger need for the Saints defense for next season and beyond.
