The New Orleans Saints are going over a complete make-over this offseason. Kellen Moore is at the center of the changes, which players seem to enjoy so far. He's making a clear culture shift happen in the building for the Saints.
Moore's latest decision is an intriguing one for multiple reasons.
The Saints head coach made a notable decision toward the end of this week when it came to New Orleans' practice schedule.
Team bonding obviously a priority for new Saints coach Kellen Moore. He surprised players by canceling the final minicamp practice today and arranging a team outing instead. Previously took a day to play paintball and another day for community outreach during OTAs. -- Mike Triplett

Hunter Dekkers sunk a three-pointer during a team meeting, which led to the team getting the day off.
I actually do like this move, albeit a confident one from Moore.
This choice takes away some valuable practice time, but it also opens the door for more team camaraderie. A lot of this roster has some new pieces at different positions, not to mention the coaching staff adjustments this offseason. Getting some extra time to simply mesh as human beings off the football field makes plenty of sense.
That being said, there will always be people who feel like the flip-side is more important.
New Orleans is locked into an offseason with a young quarterback battle, and plenty of starting roles are still yet to be decided on both sides of the ball. Giving away this practice slot could prove costly, but only time will tell.
On Thursday afternoon, Moore also announced that the Saints are not holding joint practices with the Los Angeles Chargers in August. Instead, they will just be practicing at UC Irvine in California for nine days (August 6-August 15).
