The Seattle Seahawks seem to have a somewhat fresh outlook for the 2025 season. They have a new quarterback in Sam Darnold, who is coming off a major breakout season during which he made the Pro Bowl, and they have also added wide receiver Cooper Kupp and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence.
But it isn't necessarily a lock they will make the playoffs. Kupp could very well be on the downside of his career, and if he is, Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be their only bona fide threat at wide receiver.
But Seattle could find another one in next month's NFL draft. A new NFL.com mock draft has it taking wideout Tetairoa McMillan with the No. 18 selection.
"Signing Kupp does not rule out taking a wideout with an early-round pick; rather, the 'Hawks should still be in the market for an 'X' receiver like McMillan," wrote Mike Band.
McMillan has great size for a wideout at 6-foot-4 and almost 220 pounds, which could make him a nice target in the red zone and allow him to be productive in jump-ball situations.
The Hawaii native totaled 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns in three seasons at the University of Arizona. He was a first-team All-Big 12 selection and also won the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year award in 2024, and he ended his college career as the Wildcats' all-time leader in receiving yards.
He could be an intriguing prospect for a Seahawks team that hasn't won a playoff game since the 2019 season and needs to provide Darnold with as much support as possible.
