Saquon Barkley Reveals Offseason Challenge After Super Bowl

Saquon Barkley etched his name in Philadelphia Eagles history after just one year with the organization.

Barkley helped lead the Eagles to a 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, earning his first ring of a seven-year NFL career.

Following the win for the Eagles, Barkley took to social media to reveal a personal challenge for himself during the offseason.

"If I don’t break 80 this offseason," Barkley said. "I gotta give up the game."

Barkley is likely referring to his golf game, which he's been vocal about throughout his NFL career.

Breaking 80 in golf means finishing an 18-hole round with a score of 79 or lower, meaning Barkley would be shooting just over par, which is extremely rare on the golf course.

While he now has his eyes set on a challenge on the links, Barkley went berserk during his first season with the Eagles.

In the Super Bowl victory over the Chiefs, Barkley posted 57 yards on the ground to go along with six receptions and 40 yards through the air.

Barkley, who earned the Offensive Player of the Year for his regular-season efforts, capped off his first season with the Eagles recording 13 touchdowns and 2,005 yards.

He led the Eagles, alongside quarterback Jalen Hurts, to an 18-3 record.
