Anthony Bradford has not played since the opening game of the 2026 season, but that is set to change shortly. The fourth-year guard was activated by the Seahawks on Saturday, per a team announcement.
Hip and knee injuries kept Bradford sidelined for Week 2. He was then placed on injured reserve, ensuring an absence of at least another four games. He returned to practice on Monday, though, signaling an activation would be coming in short order.
Today’s news means Bradford will be able to play against the Chiefs in Week 7. His return will be welcomed by the defending champions as they aim for improved play up front following a 3-3 start to the year. Issues on offense have been acutely felt in recent weeks in particular, but a starter up front being back in the fold could help the cause. Bradford has been a first-team blocker for Seattle in all but four of his 43 appearances to date.
The former fourth-rounder’s rookie contract will expire after this season. It would come as no surprise if Bradford and the Seahawks were to pursue a new deal, although his health and ability to regain his previous form upon returning to action will of course be key on that front. In the meantime, team and player will hope for a string of appearances spanning the remainder of the campaign.
To create a roster spot for Bradford’s return, Seattle has waived receiver Montorie Foster. The former undrafted rookie enjoyed a strong training camp and played his first regular-season game in Week 1. Foster will now hit the waiver wire, and he would represent a logical practice squad candidate provided no teams make a claim.
Cornerback Trevon Diggs was released yesterday but immediately retained via a practice squad signing. He is a gameday elevation for Week 7, with the same also being true of linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo.
