Among the bevy of storylines to come out of Week 1's "Monday Night Football" between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks was the home crowd's hostile reaction to the return of Russell Wilson and Denver coach Nathaniel Hackett's controversial decision to try a 64-yard field goal in the final minute of his team's loss.
Despite coming away with the win at home, the Seahawks also potentially suffered a very serious loss on the defensive side of the ball in safety Jamal Adams.
My understanding is the #Seahawks are still waiting on final imaging of the injury but the tone of what Carroll has said last night and today indicates Jamal Adams’ season is likely over. https://t.co/QBuXRYzQja

Adams played just 15 snaps in the contest, recording three solo tackles, one quarterback hit, and one pass defended.
The former sixth overall pick of the New York Jets was traded to Seattle in July 2020 after spending three seasons with "Gang Green." Adams made three straight Pro Bowls from 2018 to 2020 and sandwiched a pair of Second Team All-Pro honors with a First Team nod in 2019.
The Seahawks will take on the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 2 at 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday.
