According to Jordan Schultz, Seahawks LT Charles Cross suffered a high ankle sprain in Seattle’s win over the Chiefs on Sunday night.

He adds Cross will be week-to-week with the injury. High ankle sprains can have varying severities, with some players needing time on injured reserve and others only missing a game or two.

A week-to-week designation suggests the Seahawks expect Cross to miss at least a little bit of action.

Cross, 25, was a two-year starter at Mississippi State. He was a first-team All-American and a first-team All-SEC selection in 2021. The Seahawks used the No. 9 overall pick on him in the 2022 draft.

He signed a four-year, $21,383,456 contract that includes a $12,731,604 signing bonus. Seattle picked up his fifth-year option for the 2026 season.

The Seahawks then signed Cross to a four-year, $104 million extension ahead of 2026.

In 2026, Cross has appeared in seven games with seven starts for the Seahawks at left tackle. Pro Football Focus has him graded as the No. 9 tackle out of 71 qualifying players.
