The Seattle Seahawks have had one of the few true quarterback battles across the NFL going on at their training camp. The main contenders for the starting gig are veteran Geno Smith and fourth-year pro Drew Lock.
Smith is entering his third year with Seattle -- after spending the last two seasons backing up Russell Wilson. Lock was acquired in the blockbuster March trade with the Denver Broncos that sent Wilson to the AFC West club.
It was reported one week ago that Smith was more first-team reps in practice thus far, so may have the slight edge for now. It appears that heading into the team's first preseason contest on Saturday, the former New York Jets second-round pick may still be at the head of the pack.
