Sean McVay isn’t hiding his excitement about having Davante Adams in a Los Angeles Rams uniform. The All-Pro wide receiver, who joined Los Angeles this offseason, has already made a strong impression on his new head coach.
Appearing on "Good Morning Football", McVay kept his praise simple but meaningful.
“He sure looks good. I feel really grateful to work with him,” McVay said.
Adams, widely regarded as one of the best route runners in NFL history, brings a level of precision and explosiveness that few receivers can match. After spending the last two seasons with the New York Jets, he now finds himself in an offense designed to maximize his skill set.
McVay has been vocal about his admiration for Adams, particularly his ability to create separation and make contested catches. The Rams coach also highlighted the growing chemistry between Adams and Matthew Stafford, calling their connection “cool to watch”.
Adams, for his part, seems thrilled with the fresh start. He recently spoke about how much fun he’s having in Los Angeles, describing the team’s energy as “college-type camaraderie”.
With the Rams looking to make another deep playoff run, Adams is expected to play a major role in their offensive attack. And if McVay’s early impressions are any indication, the Rams coach is more than ready to unleash his newest weapon.
