On the eve of rookie minicamp, the Chicago Bears officially signed five of their 2025 NFL draft picks. Colston Loveland, Ruben Hyppolite II, Zah Frazier, Luke Newman, and Kyle Monangai put pen to paper to officially become Chicago Bears. The only players yet to sign are the second-round picks, Luther Burden III, Ozzy Trapilo, and Shemar Turner.
The Bears announced the following draft picks have signed their rookie contracts:

TE Colston Loveland
LB Ruben Hyppolite II
CB Zah Frazier
OL Luke Newman
RB Kyle Monangai
Colston Loveland, the 10th overall pick , headlined the signings with a fully guaranteed four-year contract worth $26.64 million. While it is now the standard to give first-round picks fully guaranteed contracts, it shows confidence that Loveland's shoulder issues do not concern Ryan Poles. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the rookie contracts are structured.

As mentioned above, all three second-round picks remain unsigned. This could be due to contract language, and all three could sign in the next few days as it's hammered out. However, it is worth noting that the Texans gave out the first fully guaranteed contract to second-round pick Jayden Higgins. That contract may have just reset negotiations for second-round picks across the league.
It will be interesting to see how this contract affects all the other second round picks. The agents will all be looking for a fully guaranteed deal just like Higgins https://t.co/C5Jaf0fuAX

This will be something to monitor moving forward. It is not out of the realm of possibility that all future second-round picks sign fully guaranteed contracts. How will teams handle this ever-changing landscape of rookie contracts? It is too soon to tell, but seeing how it affects the contract language and cap situations will be interesting.
