Shaquille O'Neal had a bone to pick with Chiefs head coach Andy Reid on the latest episode of "New Heights".
Appearing on the Kelce brothers' podcast this week, the NBA legend sounded off on Kansas City's Super Bowl LIX gameplan. Claiming the team didn't utilize Travis enough in the 40-22 loss.
"I have a question," the Hall of Famer asked. "How come they didn't use you a lot in the Super Bowl? I know you're [expletive] pissed. I don't wanna get you in trouble."
"Nah, man. You already know we were trying to use all the pieces, man," Kelce replied.
"I need the pieces that helped us win the first [expletive] Super Bowl, don't be trying to do new [expletive]," O'Neal shot back. "I don't wanna get you in trouble, but I wasn't happy about that."
"I tell you what, you don't have to talk, but I'm gonna talk for you," Shaq continued. "Coach, he's [expletive] 6-foot-8. Throw him the goddamn ball. Single coverage, double coverage, at the goal line. Alley-oop, that's the play you call."
At that point, Travis finally gave in and said: "Alley-oop. I'm telling you, I'm going to Coach Reid with that one right now. Wait til you see this year, baby. I'm coming back with a little bit of Shaq, [expletive] pissed off and ready to rock and roll."
Kelce had reportedly mulled over retirement earlier in the offseason before deciding to give it another run with the team that drafted him 63rd overall back in 2013.
After 10 Pro Bowls, seven All-Pro teams and three Super Bowl titles, Kelce's legend is cemented in KC. But there's still more he wants to accomplish for the Chiefs Kingdom in 2025.
