Shedeur Sanders isn't afraid to call out the media in Cleveland, that's for sure.
Sanders, the 144th overall pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, returned to the Browns this Tuesday for the start of voluntary veteran minicamp. He was taking first-team reps for Todd Monken's offense this afternoon, per Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports.
After splitting starting reps with Deshaun Watson at practice, Sanders raved about the "new energy" Monken's staff has brought to Cleveland.
"They're going to understand and embrace you just as a person, and then they push you each and every day in the meeting room, on the field, in the weight room," Sanders said. "It's a new vibe, a new energy."
Sanders then let reporters know that he wants more positive energy from them this upcoming season.
"We need y’all to have a new vibe, a new energy," Sanders continued. "I know y'all want us to win, so we need a winning energy here. We can't have too much negativity going on. We want the players to be the best version of ourselves for y'all."

Sanders completed 56.6% of his passes during the 2025 season for 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. An argument can be made that he didn't have a ton of help around him.
The Browns could upgrade the supporting cast around Sanders in the upcoming draft, especially if they keep the No. 6 and No. 24 picks in the first round.
“I think those two first-round pick should be left tackle and wide receiver,” ESPN's Dan Orlovsky said. “If the Browns want to truly gauge what Shedeur Sanders is, you gotta improve the protection and skill players.”
The Browns aren't expected to name a starting quarterback until later this year. There are plenty of fans hoping they'll commit to a full season of Sanders.
