As the college football season continues to drag on, the transfer portal continues to be crucial for many teams looking to bring in high-level talent.
One notable name still looking for a new home is junior EDGE Eriq George, who has spent his entire collegiate career at Tennessee State playing under his father and 1995 Heisman Trophy winner for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Eddie George.
On Monday, though, it appeared that his search was over, with a report that George had committed to play for the Bowling Green Falcons.
However, George himself directly disputed that, stating, "False information. My recruitment is 100% open," via a social media post.

Whoever does land him, though, may get themselves a solid player who, in the past two seasons for Tennessee State, has accumulated 82 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
He really took a step up last season as well, racking up a majority of those numbers with 57 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks.
What makes this false report even more interesting is that his father has already accepted the head coaching job for Bowling Green, so the idea of Eriq following him to his new program doesn't seem outlandish.
As of now, though, since entering the transfer portal on March 19, 247Sports reports that one offer George has received comes from Appalachian State, with no other teams listed.
